How does Go-Pop Up work?
Go—PopUp is an online platform that connects any person or company looking for spaces for a few days that suit their needs with those spaces.
What sets us apart from other websites?
There are other websites for renting commercial spaces, but none that allow the following:
1) Daily rental.
2) A website that guarantees the entire payment process.
3) That allows direct dialogue between landlord and tenant to establish specific conditions
4) That it offers the added value of online insurance.
What is a Premium Space?
Premium listings are located in high-traffic areas and boast excellent presentation. Owners respond within 24 hours, and these listings receive above-average reviews. We promote these listings, and they can be identified by the Premium label we add to the first image displayed.
What kind of spaces can I find on the web?
You can find all kinds of spaces, from restaurants, bars, pubs, hotels, cooking or dance schools, hair salons, co-working spaces, abandoned factories, photography studios, boats, and more. Any space suitable for short-term rental can be listed on our platform. The space verification service will be available soon; in the meantime, it’s best to use high-quality, representative images in your space profiles to increase the likelihood of short-term rentals.
What is a verified space?
Verified properties are those that have been visited by our agents and whose owners we know personally. These properties have been booked at least once and the client was satisfied.
Who sets the rental price?
Prices are set by the owners and can be adjusted at any time based on seasonal factors (holidays, major fairs, Christmas, etc.). Go-PopUp ‘s commission is a percentage of the price set by the owner. Calendar availability can also be determined by the owner.
How does the rental work?
The owner will receive a request from the company, brand, or user explaining what they want to do in the chosen space. The owner can accept or reject the proposal at any time; Go-PopUp does not interfere in the transaction. If the request is accepted, payment is made through Go-PopUp . The full rental fee must be paid in advance.
What kind of contracts do you offer?
The tenant accepts terms and conditions specific to the space. Go—PopUp defines a space rental agreement between the owner and the tenant. This agreement is legally reflected in the Terms and Conditions accepted by both owners and tenants upon registration on the website, and detailed in each transaction through attached identification information for the owner, tenant, space, details, price, terms of use, and any other specific conditions.
What does Go-PopUp’s insurance cover?
By booking through Go-PopUp, you are guaranteed liability insurance provided by Hiscox. Go-PopUp also offers the option to purchase additional insurance policies to suit your needs.
What does Go-PopUp get paid for providing this service?
Go-PopUp only charges a service fee for confirmed transactions. Listing and viewing spaces, as well as communication between landlords and tenants, is free. By connecting landlords and brands or companies and offering insurance to both parties, Go-PopUp receives a 5% commission from tenants and a 15% commission from landlords, with liability insurance included.

How does Go-PopUp work for landlords?
We offer you the opportunity to advertise for free on our website so that companies, young designers, entrepreneurs and communication agencies can access it quickly and easily to carry out their pop-ups, product presentations, showrooms, events, meetings, etc.
Go-PopUp connects landlords with brands or businesses. It also provides insurance for both parties. For this, we receive a 15% commission from landlords and a 5% commission from tenants, with Tenants’ Liability Insurance included.
What do I need to do to advertise my space?
Simply visit www.gopopup.com and create your user account. Once created, you can list any space by filling out the information form and uploading a photo. The more details you provide about your space, the more information users will have to assess whether it’s suitable for their event.
Who usually rents spaces?
Anyone, any company, or any agency looking for a short-term rental space. This includes communication agencies, event planners, designers, entrepreneurs, brands, and much more.
How does the calendar work? Does it have alerts?
The website offers various alerts for owners:
1. Notification when a potential tenant wants to inquire about a space.
2. Notification when a potential tenant makes a booking request.
3. Notification when a request expires due to lack of response from the owner.
4. After accepting or rejecting a reservation request.
5. After a reservation is cancelled, whether it is done by the tenant or the owner.
6. Notification when payment is confirmed.
What guarantees do you give that the premises will be left in good condition?
Go—PopUp provides tenants with liability insurance that covers them against potential damage they may cause to the spaces due to their activity, included in the management costs.
Go-PopUp also offers optional landlord liability insurance. This insurance covers landlords for damages that tenants may sustain within their premises.
Furthermore, according to our Terms and Conditions:
Landlords can set particular conditions for tenants (for example, the space must be painted upon leaving), which are also recorded in the transfer agreement document.
The tenants declare what they will use the space for and these conditions of use are recorded in the transfer agreement.
What kind of events can be held in my space?
Any event can be held in any space , provided the space has the necessary permits. For example , if a space doesn’t have a license to sell food, and they wanted to host Pop-Up Restaurants there, they would need to obtain the necessary permits. Size, location, and layout are factors that can influence the event’s characteristics, but with imagination, creativity, and enthusiasm , ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
How does billing work between the user and the owner?
In a simple and simplified way, the invoicing process for an activity related to Go-PopUp would consist of three phases:
- First, Go-PopUp issues and sends an invoice to the User for the “User Management” expenses (5% of the transfer amount), itemizing the VAT, plus the amount of the space transfer as a supplement without itemizing the VAT.
- The Space Owner then issues an invoice to the User for the space rental fee, itemizing the VAT. This invoice is sent to Go-PopUp for our records so we can forward it to the User.
- Finally, Go-PopUp issues a final invoice, in this case to the Owner, for the amount of the “Owner Management” costs, breaking down the VAT (15% of the transfer amount).
Through this process we ensure optimal management for both parties.
Go-PopUp requests payment from the User prior to the event date to confirm the booking. Once Go-PopUp receives the User’s payment and the invoice issued by the Owner, Go-PopUp pays the Owner the total booking amount less management fees, i.e., 85% of the booking fee.

What is an activity license for a space?
A license is an administrative authorization, in principle indefinite, regarding the activities that can be carried out in a private space, granted by the City Councils.
It has to do with the dimensions and characteristics of the space (according to safety, health, sanitary, architectural and sectoral barrier standards) and the situation (according to urban planning regulations, to avoid saturation in certain areas, or disturbances to neighbors, for example).
Logically, some licenses are more stringent than others, and some may include several complementary or compatible activities. The license is associated with the space and, therefore, must be obtained by the owner.
Certain licenses are more rigorous than others, and some can include various complementary and compatible activities. The license is associated with the space and, therefore, the owner must process it.
What is an extraordinary activity permit?
An activity permit is an administrative authorization, generally limited in time, to carry out a special activity in a place that does not have a specific license, in a public space, or with characteristics not provided for in the standard regulations.
Typically, a permit is required for events of a certain size, the installation of temporary or mobile architectural elements, the occupation of public space, changes to authorized hours, popular or large-scale festivals, cultural events, etc. The permit is associated with the event and, therefore, must be processed by the organizer.
Does Go-PopUp manage the licenses or permissions to perform an activity?
Go—PopUp aims to facilitate agreements between property owners and users for the rental of their spaces. The availability of the corresponding licenses and permits is fundamental to the viability of a pop-up shop or event project, and Go—PopUp is committed to publishing the relevant information on the space listings (subject to the information provided by the owners) and facilitating the necessary mechanisms for users to explain the objectives of their activity to the owners.
In this regard , Go-PopUp does not commit to validating the accuracy of the data or providing conclusive advice on the suitability of licenses or permits. For this, we refer you to our specialist partners, whom you can contact through this form .
What guarantees does Go-PopUp offer regarding licenses and permits?
Responsibility for obtaining licenses and permits rests with the owners and users, as applicable. Go—PopUp cannot guarantee that a transfer processed through the website will meet all necessary legal or administrative requirements, but will provide mechanisms to resolve any doubts through its specialist collaborators, who can be contacted via the form on this page.
Does Go-PopUp’s insurance cover responsibilities related to licenses and permits?
Public liability insurance policies cover unforeseen events, such as accidents or incidents. They do not, under any circumstances, cover incidents caused by non-compliance with regulations, such as exceeding capacity limits or other restrictions defined in the licenses for the venue or activity permits.
I have an unlicensed empty space, what can I do?
Before listing your space and renting it out through Go—PopUp, you should check with your local council what activities you can carry out there and apply for the necessary permits based on your business objectives. If you have any questions or need technical assistance, you can contact our specialist partners using the form on this page.
I have a licensed retail space and I want to hold an event, is that possible?
It depends on the license and the type of event. In general, there is some flexibility for holding occasional events in licensed retail spaces, provided that capacity limits, health and safety regulations, and the times when the public will be present are respected.
Special care must be taken with food products. For example, packaged products can generally be sold in any commercial establishment, but food handling can only be carried out in premises authorized for it; however, external catering can usually be provided in any space if contracted through a company with the necessary permits. We recommend checking in each case if you have any doubts.
Who should have the license for an event, the owner or the organizer?
Ultimately, the event organizer is responsible for what happens at the event. Therefore, once the owner informs the organizer of the venue’s license, the organizer must verify whether it is sufficient for the activity, or if a special permit is required. The organizer will be responsible for obtaining and complying with this permit and for any potential claims or penalties.
What happens if a user performs an activity that wasn’t clear in their request? Can they close my account?
As mentioned in the previous question, the event organizer is responsible for everything that happens at the event, as well as for complying with the limitations of their license or permit. The owner must inform the user transparently and provide copies of the relevant documentation, if necessary, so they have all the necessary information. Despite this, and to avoid penalties, we recommend that the owner maintain open communication with the user whenever the intended activity in the space deviates from what is reasonably foreseeable within the scope of the venue’s operating license. If there are any doubts, we recommend that both parties consult with an expert in the field.
I want to organize an event at a Go-PopUp venue. What happens if I exceed the permitted hours or capacity? If the authorities deem my event non-compliant, what are my legal responsibilities? And what about the venue owner?
As we mentioned earlier, the event organizer is ultimately responsible for everything that happens and must take the necessary steps to prevent any problems, as well as obtain the corresponding administrative permits. Under no circumstances should the declared capacity of the venue (which may depend on the event’s configuration) be exceeded, nor should the hours permitted by local regulations be violated, to avoid problems with neighbors and potential legal action in the event of a complaint. The venue owner must provide you with all the necessary information regarding their licenses and the characteristics of the space so that you can assess whether you need an additional permit or adjust the requirements for your activity or event.
I am a user and I am not sure if the owner has the appropriate license, what should I do?
Owners of spaces listed or rented through Go—PopUp must provide users with the necessary licensing information for their spaces. If this is not the case, we recommend that users contact PopPlaces.com Customer Support. Once users have this information, they should verify that it is appropriate for their business. If you have any questions or need technical assistance, you can contact our specialist partners using the form on this page.
I am a property owner and a user is proposing an activity for which I am not sure if I am licensed, what should I do?
The user is responsible for obtaining any additional permits beyond your license required for their business activity, if applicable. You must provide the user with accurate and complete information about your license (and, if possible, copies of the relevant documentation) so they can assess their project. To avoid any issues, we recommend having open communication with the user to ensure they will complete the necessary procedures, if required. Generally, users already search for suitable premises for their business, but if you have any questions or need technical assistance, you can contact our specialist partners using the form on this page.
