It is an intimate, open and versatile venue that is a cocktail bar, boîte and a private room. Located in the centric Eixample neighbourhood, it has two floors and three rooms. Is more than a cocktail or drinks bar or a club. It is a place where we take care of every detail, where all is about being comfortable and unhurried.
With a lush combination of vibrant reds and violets, the decoration of the room is subtle tribute through a vintage lens to the former clubs of the golden age of cocktails in New York, only this time in Barcelona. An upgraded classic look, both intimate and refined. In short, a space with extraordinary character where you can enjoy elaborate cocktails sitting at the bar or in comfy sofas, tables and poufs.
The intimate rock & roll fantasy look is reminiscent of a small opera foyer with red velvet walls dimly lit by LEDs. The murals of our own creation come to life and show the very essence of Slow the contrast of the classic and the scoundrel.
With its own bar, it is an ideal venue for small dinners and to enjoy cocktails with more privacy. It also includes a projector and a screen to view all kinds of videos, presentations or broadcasts. It’s perfectly suited for workshops, tastings and training sessions.
An exquisite sound system will plunge you into the electronic beats, from house, disco and funk to indie and electro pop. A spectacular LED covered ceiling will colour the atmosphere and mood of the night. Just let go to the tune of our resident and guest DJs.
We also sport a solid and intense live concerts program both electric and acoustic that range from pop, rock, indie, folk, electro, flamenco and rumba. Bands such as Sidonie and Möno have played here. Also bands that are now in big time festivals (i.e. Primavera Sound 2016) such as Joana Serrat, Cala Vento, Univers, Pacosan or Invisible Harvey. So the rooms upstairs will let you enjoy your drink in a more private area or just dance until the morning light with our DJs and live concerts.

In our workshops you will learn how to prepare several cocktails within a chosen cocktail category (classic, tiki, molecular, gin tonics, vermouths…) together with a bit of history and all the necessary glassware and utensils for its preparation and service.
The word Tiki comes from Polynesia. Tiki cocktails are based on rum, fresh fruits and syrups. The Mai Tai is considered the quintessence of the Tiki cocktails.
Molecular mixology is a way of making cocktails using scientific analysis and techniques to experiment with the ingredients, inspired by the homonymous cuisine. The idea is to manipulate the states of matter to provoke new textures, flavours and sensations unheard of. The techniques include the use of foams, liquid nitrogen, spherifications, etc.
So you thought Gin Tonics were just gin and tonic water? Well then, think again. They’re so much more. The many available gins can be enriched with countless herbs, spices, fruits and perfumes, and they may be combined with as many available different tonic waters. Learn how to recognise and blend the best gins with the best tonics and their perfect ingredients and service.
Aperitifs are liquors that have a slightly bitter taste herbal extracts, typically taken before a meal (hence its name), or immediately after. They include amaros, vermouths, bitters, herb liquors… Their combinations are always tasty, as you’ll quickly check for yourself.
The lifelong classic cocktails. If names such as Manhattan, Dry Martini, Daiquiri, Hanky Panky, Sidecar or Negroni sound familiar to you, that is because they are universal and every barman knows their preparation.
Cocktail workshops teach:
• Preparation of 3 cocktails
• Utensils usage and handling
• Quantities and glassware
• A bit of history of the cocktails you’ll be making
Duration: 2 hours
• You may of course drink (and share!) all the cocktails you prepare, accompanied by some light food as well.
